What’s Included
Included with the standalone kit:
- Classic Connect 2
- Pre-installed battery (15 hours playback)
- B7000 glue. This glue is the same glue used in phone screen repairs, and can be easily removed for future upgrades.
What you'll need to finish the build:
- Storage (see our Compatibility page)
- SD card / CF card
- iPod Video / Classic
- Tape (recommended)
Notes:
- OEM hard drives technically work with the kit, but they do not fit physically.
- iPod Video faceplates sit slightly raised.

- USB-C charging is built-in and does not require soldering.
- ≈ 40 min full recharge
- Up to 1 A charging speed
USB-C sync & audio
- USB-C data transfer is only available after soldering three wires (USB datalines and VBUS) to the iPod motherboard.
